- India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) is a not-for-profit Trust set up by the Government of India to facilitate philanthropic contributions by overseas Indians to social and development projects in India. IDF-OI is chaired by Minister of External Affairs, Smt. Sushma Swaraj.
- IDF-OI is enabling contributions by overseas Indians to Govt. of India’s flagship programmes - Swachh Bharat Mission and Clean Ganga Mission; and projects identified by State Governments in sectors of sanitation, education, healthcare and women and child development.
- It regularly conducts Google Hangout Sessions with overseas Indian communities in specific regions, in which senior officials from IDF-OI interact live via video with Indian communities and encourage them to contribute through IDF-OI, to projects in their native village/towns.
