Buyer – Seller meet” (B2B meeting) on 26 & 27 August 2024 and the “Pune International Business Summit – 2025” on 24 & 25 February 2025 at JW Marriott in Pune, India. The MAHRATTA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRIES AND AGRICULTURE (MCCIA), located in Pune, India, has established itself over a rich 90-year history and now represents around 3000 members across 17 industry sectors in Maharashtra. These members include a diverse mix of large, small, and medium enterprises. MCCIA has been a pivotal force in promoting Pune and other regions of Maharashtra as premier investment destinations and vital centers for goods and services exports. Furthermore, the organization actively supports local exporters in expanding their global reach, with the continued guidance and support from senior officials at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
In its ongoing efforts to boost international trade and investment, MCCIA is organizing two significant events. The first is the "Buyer – Seller Meet" (B2B meeting), scheduled for 26 and 27 August 2024, followed by the "Pune International Business Summit – 2025" set for 24 and 25 February 2025 at the JW Marriott in Pune. These initiatives are focused on identifying new avenues for enhancing India’s exports, attracting foreign technology and investments, and specifically empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
As part of its strategy to attract international business delegations, particularly from Belgium, MCCIA has communicated with the Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate such visits, which are expected to benefit not only local exporters but also provide a broader economic boost to Maharashtra. The chamber's efforts include hosting and organizing B2B meetings to foster direct connections between local industries and potential overseas buyers and collaborators.
MCCIA is also seeking to expand its collaboration by connecting with Regional Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, or sector-specific organizations in Belgium to explore mutual opportunities.
The Chamber has identified key priority sectors including Manufacturing (particularly Automobile and Auto components), Agri & Food processing, and IT/ITes, but remains open to exploring other industry verticals. MCCIA will cover hospitality expenses, such as accommodation (including meals) and local transportation for visiting delegates, though international travel costs are to be borne by the delegates themselves.
